How would you compare the 3 in all aspects such as quality, effectiveness, etc.??? What other scripts out there for cjing are worth being mentioned?

Well the best way to solve this question is to ask a owner the uses both scripts is the fair way to go about it. have any of you done so?

Bad form Krister, too many errors/blatent lies for me to take that page seriously.
If NickD switch, you gotta ask yourselves why he switched and why he has not switched back?
check ranks.sextracker.com, i believe there are some 300k+ sites using UCJ.
LinkX was not mentioned either? now that is a killer script... http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/wink.gif
<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2"> Slower then both S2 and UCJ. Why? Because he uses a MySql database which has to parse everything. Much slower</font>
Thats a harsh generalisation. I guess your algorithms are faster than a huuuuugely used open source DBMS?
thats like saying my dick is 0.002inches bigger than yours http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
I believe ucj-c is in version 4 correct?
You failed to mention that existing users gain a FREE upgrade... sure, you made updates to ES...
... called it Scorpion...
...then made updates to Scorpion, called it Scorpion2 - i believe you tried to get people to pay between versions, but there was so much of a stink that you did not?
http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/tongue.gif i'm only giving you a hard time because of the inaccuracies of that page, i am sure S2 rocks.
Personally, i liked blindio when i used it, i now have UCJ up, and my first impression is "what the fuck?" BUT only because i have not got to grips with it yet.
30 sites in the ST top 100?
1/3 high traffic sites use UCJ, bad ass stat.
R&B v2 looked a nice script from Run, have you managed much traffic with it yet mate?
http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif Catch y'all later.
Richard.

This url smells bad
Our free/pay host running with rb2.
Great script.
My own sites getting over 100k each with rb2 without any problem.
Recently I ordered UCJ too...
And like Rich I told the same.. What de fuck?..but I am sure that I also didnt get grips with it yet.Tim do u have some support team that can help to UCJ newbies?

HA!
That c-scripts url is laughably lame..
heheh, hey I am really wondering what the true story behind african americans are? does anyone know any KKK members I hear they have the most accurate view?
HA!What a joke
I see big traffic sites using C scripts / which have expensive http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif
but there is many good scripts written in Php and mod_php with zend optimized works very fast (mod_php faster than compiled C script too).
some of my friends using Jimbo's SCJ script (free for a banner space I remember)
If you don't want to pay more than 1000$ to a script, I recommend try Jimbo's (www.cybertgp.com) SCJ script. It works very fast and fully configurable trade types
a note:
why mod_xxx thing works faster than C ?
because mod_perl, mod_php loads script into memory, and executes it from memory. So it works very fast (faster than a compiled program).
you can read about benchmark from
http://cgi-works.net/scripts/autorankpro/bench.html

XP,
i looked at that url a while ago, and though mod_perl has an initial advantage over the c script, when the traffic gets high, and there is more data to parse, the C script stars to come into its own.

I've been a programmer for over 8 years now and I can tell you this:
Using of whatever language is no guarantee for speed whatsoever..
Ofcourse when you're a professional programmer and know what you're doing it matters what you use; in that case C is your only option (not C++ - that's slower due to Object Orientated difficulties).
However if you're just a mediocare programmer who has never programmed in C before it's probably better for you to stick with PHP and Perl, because they've been really really really optimized for all kinds of stuff and you must have a pretty good knowledge to defeat them http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif
Anyways think of it has cars: the fact that one has a Porsche and the other has a Fiat doesn't necessairly mean that the Porsche goes faster - for instance if the person in the Porsche doesn't know how to switch into 2nd gear he is obviously going to loose http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif
Just my 2 cents http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif
richard

nice analogy.
But what you are saying, is that all professional programmers use C right?
I think there might be a few 10s of thousands who would disagree with that http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/wink.gif

all that is interesting and shit, but who has used both scripts and has anything to say regarding Blindio vs. Ucj-c vs. Scorpion?

linkx killer scripty?
yeah, it killed my site http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/wink.gif
and tim, don't you have like 15 years of programming experience???
Krister, I believe you have some facts wrong in there... you used ot say others tried to lower your script by stealing and saying they were better.... seems like it's turned arround dude... I'm disapointed by that faq :'(
AdultBuffet uses UCJ, Mature-post (HI THEMAN!) uses it... all over 400 I think..
(don't check sexT often, but that's what I remmembered)
richard >> yeah, RB2 is now tested with traffic and works fine http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif I hear familyporn had over 200K raws some time ago, didn't hear anyone complain about that.
About that blindio vs ucj vs scorpion thing:
I like UCJ very much, because of its structure. Had a few chances to have a look at the admin and logs and it seems very very nice!
never used blindio, so no comments on this subject.
I dont like scorpion, or Krister to be more exact, because of the disrespect that he shows to other programmers. UCJ and BLINDIO are both VERY nice scripts, and calling Tim and Dan amateurs in programming is definately a stupid move.

I'm now 27 years old and I started programming at the tender age of 11 http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/wink.gif
So that makes it roughly 16 years programming experience now http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
I started machine code programming at the age of 12 and sold my first machine code program at 13 to a magazine. So it wasn't a tale of me just writing "Hello World" programs. http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Yeah .. I saw it a while ago ... very amusing site http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
I've had linkx, ucj and scorp 1 and scorp2. UCJ blows scorpion 2 way out of the water. Scorpion has probably the most inaccurate stats of any program. A big disspointment. Not to mention the service and help from the programmer is slow and poor. Ask anybody.

sorry for the late reply Rich... the thing I was trying to tell everybody is that you have to be really damn good professional C programmer to be able to program in C correctly; i didn't say that all professional programmers should program in C in fact i'm opposed to that. C should be used for what it was made for: for time critical applications that are to big to write in assembly. Such programs are for example the Linux or the FreeBSD kernel.
