Do any of you run sites for women? And, also, which content would be most suitable for this?
My guess would be more stories, more softcore, less hardcore, less fake stuff (as in paintbrushed teens with silicone breasts and lips), but I could be totally off...
I think this niche is being neglected a bit, and might have great potential, since there are quite a few women on this world :)

There are a few sites like this already. purve.com comes to mind. I have no idea how they actually do, and I have even less of an idea of what women get turned on by. Only thing I know is that it doesn't appear to be me that turns them on :(

Millions of women buy those little crappy books in which some woman has a steamy relation with some rich, handsome guy (usually called Lance or Dirk, or something else that sounds gay), and since an ex-girlfriend of mine used to read those books, I've taken a few looks in them, and there's lotsa semi-hardcore sex in it...
Also, my past two girlfriends were both into pictures of asian women in bondage, and they did get turned on by that. Both didn't like hardcore though.

(Another interesting little fact: of the women who engage in cybersex, 80% actually try it out with that guy in real life, for men, this is only 20%)

My sister and I both look at adult sites from time to time,
we both like stories and movies more than pictures.
Women aren't as visual as men.
The same stories and movies that you would post for men- we are both into spanking so we mostly like that- but there are just as many women into any fetish as there are men, and just as many that want to look at and read about plain sex.

You are probably right about women not wanting to pay for porn though, maybe a free site with advertisements targetted to women would work better? Avon, personal ads, candles, ect?

I have noticed that at photoshoots the women who come 'just to watch' because they really don't think anyone should be getting naked like that on the internet will, once surrounded by a group of people who find nothing wrong with it and just walk around naked, have sex in front of people ect, will start to get into it. They decide to model, and end up being just as open about being naked and having sex as everyone else there. Maybe you could use that concept on your site in some way?
