depends on how many downloads.
But a 1.2 meg file watched 1000 times a day burns about 1.2 gigs.

The burn a lot of BW, lets say you get 50000 hits to one gallerie with 6 1,2 mb movies. Lets just say everyone wathes one movie...thats 60000 mb or 60 GB !!!

I can count banwith. "lets just say..." - this is realy stupid, beacuse "let's just say that i'm getting one million hits per day" - i think that such calulation have no sence :)
I wan't know how much avarge you can get traffic from movieposts to your movie gallery.

Only problem is that most freehosts dont take files over 100k :(

1. Most freehosts don't accept movie files
2. Most movie freehosts don't accept new accounts
3. Most movieposts won't accept or give good listings to galleries on freehosts
4. I have hosting & muuuch banwith, but wan't orient how much i can burn :)

You have to factor in also where your gallery gets listed and how many places list it. If it gets listed at 10 places, you won't burn as much as if it was listed at 50 places.

seems like movieposts are a lot more picky now. they want better quality and longer movies. i remember when u could get listed anywhere with movies under 200k on a free host and get a shitload of traffic.

It's almost impossible to pay for the bandwidth unless you have a very good recurring sponsor with very good holding times. Then maybe on the long term you will make some revenue on all those gigs of bandwidth you had to use

i intend to start pushing movie galleries soon and i have a question. i plan to use 10 movies x 200-250kb each (10 secs) on a paid hosting. some of the galleries will use free content (nastydollars, oxcash) and some will use my own content (voyeur). will i get good listings with the big movie posts? thanks.
Out of 50,000 hits of movie traffic a day, I burn about 100GB. Better make sure whatever the hell you are promoting converts before you do MGP.

250kb movies don't get listed anymore. Most movie gallery post want large movies.

i was browsing video-post about a week ago and checked a few galleries. ALL movies were below 250 kb.
Most REAL MGP's only allow movies that are 1MB or over. The mainstream TGP's prefer MPEGS, thus smaller size and shittier quality.
