hi,

lately my local ISP´s SMTP doesnt work anymore, this since already two weeks, now I´m generally very happy with this ISP as its ADSL, but I´m not able to send out any emails through my real email accounts but have to use free email services to do this.

Now I´m wondering if there are any international accessible, free, public SMTL servers, through which I could sent my emails ??

Any help here would be worth so much for me, I´d attach a string to my balls and jump from any skyscraper you want for it !! :D

I dunno exactly, I guess its a dynamic, but within close range so something like
212.169. is stable the rest is dynamic ?!

Where can I look it up? (couldnt find it in ICQ where I was used to look it up)

if you were on static I'd allow you to use my smtp, but if on dynamic, it's quite a range to allow. lol

well..so I´ll check this, would be a great offer!!

however I´m a little bit curious if you wouldnt be able to read all my emails that I´m sending through??

I´m not claiming you do, I´m just wondering if you could?!

BTW: Is there any chance to easily setup a SMTP or something with my own dedicated server I´ve got with rackspace ?

why don't you use your host

Your ISP probably sent you the address of an SMTP server to use with your account info.

When I got ADSL I couldn't use my normal SMTP server, it had to go through them even though the e-mail doesn't have anything to do with that company.

Yes if you are using somones mail server they will be able to read your email if they want to.

Download a mail server for your windows machine would be one option.

Also if you have an ssh account with your host you can setup port fowarding in SecureCRT and send mail via them.

yep, same here. I had to use my isp settings on adsl for outgoing, cause they had too broad ranges of dynamic ips here and I didn't wanna allow that on my smtp
