dmoz crazy?

Minimum Content Requirements: 30 listed TGP sites at the time of submission other than those which are controlled by or affiliated with the Link Site webmaster. Each Thumbnail Gallery listed much contain at least 20 thumbnailed images.


A minimum of 20 thumbs on each gallery listed on your tgp?! I wonder who came up with that idea...

I got an email from an editor there once who didn't like the link list recips on my site. He said he didn't want to dilute the great DMOZ traffic with link list traffic. When I tried to explain that it wouldn't be diluted cuz I'm not sending them any traffic back he denied my site. :rolleyes:

since dmoz is moderated, you cant prevent some crazy stuff on there :)
"at the time of submission" is the key expression here I think, just try to list 30 galleries with 20 pics on another page than your tgp main page, like /tgp.html or so to get listed and then redirect to your real tgp once listed..
its not "cheating" in my opinion because you still offer them the same site, just with less pics per gallery.
most of the moderators have no clue what to look at anyway, and 20 pics minimum for EACH gallery seems to be plain stupid.

I hate those nasty tricks myself, but dmoz traffic is worth it and opens some gates to other SEs
