OK! I give up! UCJ 4.01 help needed!

I've never had a traffic script before and I am about to pull my hair out trying to figure UCJ 4.1 out! I have entered in about 12 trades to start.. However, it keeps saying that the trades are dead.. Also: nothing is showing up on referrers.. If I go to details for a trade, I show no incoming hits from my trades.. What the hell is going on! I spent all this damn money on the script and have no clue how to use it.. LOL! I have got to laugh at myself about this.. I really need some help.. Anyone,please!

it gets traffic already, about 16,000 and I'm trying to increase that with the script..

i have it on a regular index.html file..should i rename it to a shmtl file?

ok.. got that solved.. now how do I force traffic to trades? do i enter a number in the min.trade space? or do i set a ratio?
