got a spam e-mail yesterday from a hosting company, so i e-mailed the guy back asking where he got my e-mail address, his reply is following:
"To be honest we just spamed some e-mails, sorry for the inconvinence but if you are intrested in web hosting, you can send me a replay or phone number or check out web site at www.****ingcube.com it starts form 6dlls a month up to 50dlls for 180mb a month.
Thanks
Ed"
ok though his spelling isn't that good, atleast a honest reply :)
so what the hell, one spam won't kill me...
6 hours go by and this idiot sends me 2 more spams and today again 2 more spams.
if the dude's spamming is that bad, i can't imagine what his hosting is like :D

How long do you think your hosting account would last with him if YOU spammed like that?

Now when you got his valid email adress to him, just spam back 10times the mail you get from him.. that will make him take you of his list

Looks like the internet is becoming the land of the stupid. I have a small hosting company and get spam FROM hosting companies. They dont even look at the email addresses they use. These are the same people the drive while on the cell phone. At least those stupid people get killed off now and then. Not much can be done about the spammers. At least until someone admits to me face to face they spam.........
So far no one has had the nerve.

Really hope that EU set a law about spamming now so you can shut down spammers. But all countries with internet must be concerned about this for it to work.

atleast the host he was reselling for is a responsible one, they shut him down in less than 30 minutes.
i've gotten thousand of spam mails during the time i've used e-mail and i've learned if you have some free time on your hands nothing makes you feel better than shutting a spammer down
:)
I've fought back about 5 spammers, not much, but they've all gotten shut down, so if everybody would just shut down one spammer from time to time, it'd help a lot, i'm also planning on working out a tool which makes it a lot easier to shut down spammers, spamcop isn't just working for me. Would any webmasters be interested in such web-based tool?

Killing spammers is a great idea especcially if there is an easy to use online tool for it.

Yes, but in that law, there are something about you can't add a cookie on the surfers computer, before you have ask him.
Very bad news, becouse your tradscripts use cookies

You can't spam a spammer. Spammers have programs that will make 100 email accounts at a free email place like yahoo or hotpop with the touch of a button. He then uses these accounts as his from address. Then the program just goes to those accounts, 20 or so threads at a time, and downloads all the headers, not the whole email and writes them to the appropriate file and deletes it from the server. That's why you get emails that say to put remove in the subject line. If it has "remove" in the subject it will write the from address to a remove file. The spammer never even sees the mails and could care less if you mail him 1000 times. I have a few wayward associates and this is what they do :)
