I edit a lot of stuff in Front Page and hardly use dream weaver. Anyway, I am running shitty Windows ME and have Office XP on my machine. I had a lot of windows open and I launched FP and I got an error message. I then closed some windows and launched FP again and got a message. It said that FP was started incorrectly last time and wanted to start up in safe mode. I clicked OK and then it loaded fine. I then clicked exit and then opened up FP again.

I look for the File pull down menu and the damn thing was gone. It starts off with Edit. I then look at the tool bars and notice nothing is wrong. I then go to Help pull down menu and click repair. It does it's thing and then I reboot my pc. I still do not have the File pull down menu. I do not want to uninstall and reinstall all of Office with my outlook settings etc etc.

My question is what do I suggest I do to get my File pull down menu?

dont use frontpage, its evil. evil :ouch:

either learn to use dreamweaver in an efficient way or , if you prefer easy-to-use low level wysiwyg editors: netscape composer.

While we are on the topic of FP,,, I have a question as well! I run XP and Office XP... Iam on a page doing some editing! Then I click on the Add Image Icon on the top toolbar... Okay I add the image,,, finnish what I have to do,,, then click on save... It saves it... asks me what folder I would like to save the images to,,, I pick it.... EVERY THING IS GOOD,,, RIGHT? WRONG? When I look at the HTML... it says the img src is something like C://mydocuments/webpages/anotherfolder/anotherfolder/folderIsaveditin/image.gif Now it should say,, img src foldersavedin/image.gif Why is it not doing this? I have reinstalled FP and everything,, still can not get it fixed?? Any Ideas?

cherries22 I use FP too. Sound like you putting the pictures in different folder than the HTML page. Example I save my html file in c:\my documents\some folder\ then I save my pictures in c:\my documents\some folder\pictures\ . Now I open my FP and add the pictures and in your HTML it will be just src="/pictures/picture.jpg" . The problem is if you import the pics from different folder than the HTML page or folders in the folder that contains the HTML page. I wouldn't use FP to create big HTML files because it adds bunch of junks. One day I redesigned my site with FP and the file was 57 KB. Then I edited by hand and it is now 28 KB. The page didn't have any look difference. Make it with FP then crunch it with HTML cruncher. That saves large bandwith. I hope it helps :)
