Viable idea?

Inspired by the pay-per-click search engines like overture, I came up with the idea of doing the same thing, but with traffic. People pay with traffic, and can bid with hits on clicks to their own sites or sponsors.
An advantage is that it would make it quite easy to convert traffic from one niche to another while getting high productivity (for instance, someone with a straight teen site and a gay site can send teen traffic to the search engine, and get gay traffic back to his gay site).
Also, it might be a way to get good traffic to sponsors.

Explain it better. I'm not sure what your idea is here, it seems you want people with traffic already to make offers for buyers? A bit more clarity would help get you some more replies.

No offense, I don't think it will work. Not all hits have equal weight. For example, I think a gay surfer is worth more than a teen surfer. Sure, you can split it off into categories of hits, but the ultimate currency of exchange is cash. This is why we don't live in a barter society, because establishing a value per hit is better in financial terms rather than traffic. Also to consider, fraud controls... who will enforce them, you?

Well, ofcourse it would not actually be counted per hit, but per click made by a hit, capped at 5 per visitor or something. And, for each click made by a visitor sent by you, you gain 1 credit.

This is actually like trading traffic, however, more advanced, and with more options, namely converting traffic to another niche or to traffic interested in your sponsor.
The online adult industry is in fact kinda like a barter society - just about everyone is trading traffic.

Fraud control would be comparable to that of trade scripts, since this is the same thing, only with a few more options.

It is a type of top list, however, one that has the option of allowing you to decide which surfers you want to receive in return, where you want to send them, and how much they are worth to you.

Any click from a search term with the word "free" in it would most likely not be worth much traffic, however, a click from a really good search term to a sponsor with the price of a membership in the title/description is worth quite a bit of traffic.

great idea yes there are issues that need to be worked out im sure but thats with every idea, make it happen!
