Are you all talking about the C++ API for MySQL?

Oops, I thought you meant pure MySQL. Well the C++ API for MySQL is indeed not very widespread and we don't have them on our servers either by default but if a customer requests it, it will be installed.

Anyways, you should rather use the normal C API which should be available almost everywhere.

Just like 'Coke' we'll install it if a customer requests it.
