That lawsuit has been going on for years. AOL goes after everybody that spams their members. If you spam AOL you're playing a dangerous game. They have an army of lawyers and aren't afraid to use them.

I get lotsa spam from AOL itself to use their services. I wonder how they justify that?

There is some truth in here. My brother gets often calls and email from AOL in order to have him continue his membership with them. Then he cancels, then he gets calls from them with a special one month offer... then he resumes his contract, then re-cancels... lol
Actually, he uses their "spam" to his own advantage. He's been surfing now for 3 months for free ; i wonder how long and intensively they'll try to keep him as customer, lol.

LOL. I call and cancel mine every once in awhile and they offer me 1-3 months free if I stay. I've had my account for like, 2-3 years and I've probably only paid for no more then half of it. :hi:

right, when you see an email like marie@aol.com you gotta realize it is fake. nowadays, if legit, the email would be like marie_69_sexy@aol.com
all the good names were taken long ago.
