that reminds me of someone I knew. He had 20 comps going 24/7 using a contact who worked with aol to get a giant constant supply of phish. He had special software made so he controlled the whole network from one computer and had it completely automised. All he had to do was keep adding phish and let the money roll in. $100,000 in less than 6 months in the bank accout wasn't to bad cosidering he was only 17 at the time. http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

phish = stolen aol account.. very easy to get considering aol users will tell anyone their password if they think you work for AOL http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

phish isn't a stolen account, but something that asks for your password:

ex:

This is aol. We currently have lost your password in our database, and need you to send it to xxx@aol.com so we can fix this problem.

It's just fishing (phishing) for passwords. A phish is just a program that instant messages lots of aol users trying to trick them into giving their password.

that used to work well when aol first came out, but there are better types of phish out there now.

Wrong! A phish is a stolen account name and password. Phishing, is the act of using an account phisher to get dumb fucks to give you there info.

Ok, I get the idea... But why the hell would you want passwords for Joe Doe's e-mail account? Other than having fun ofcourse.

OK, the best place to spam is aol of course because they are all newbies and will buy anything you want to sell them. The best way to spam aol is internally. If you try from outside aols network then there filters grab most of the emails and they are never delivered. So, the aol spammers will sign onto aol and and grab usernames from chat rooms and member lists and spam them throught the aol.exe program. But, this came to the attention of aol and they started putting rate limits on everything (you can't go into so many chatrooms in such amount of time or you get discontected and the same for sending out so many email's in such amount of time). The way around this is that you have a large list of phish and keep signing on and off right before the rate limit is reached. You collect the fresh usernames and then mail them throught the different accounts(phish). The reason for this is that if the rate limit is reached to many times then aol checks out the problem and the phish dies quickly, but if you alternate before the limit is reached they last for a good while. There really isn't any harm done to the accounts because when the phish dies the account user just has to call aol and explain to them that there password was cracked or stolen and then aol just tells them to change their password and be more careful.
