Just got some nice "optin" surfer spam, to a message harvested off an adult webmaster board (smart spammer..) - and of course it's essentially an FPA with every link pointing to a MaxCash site.. I reported this to them a couple days ago, and no response.. Are they back up to their old tricks? Isn't this what the FTC nailed their asses for?
Anyone else getting MaxCash surfer spam?
Cheers,
Backov

The FTC nailed maxcash mainly because a bunch of cheating webmasters used bogus credit cards to generate signups.

This is how i stop this type of spam and it has a very good success rate. I have had sponsor accounts closed as well as many hosts shut their accounts and i dont give up untill i get action.
Give the users host or ISP and Sponsor(s) 1 notice and 72hrs. If no action is taken after that time and no response is recieved to confirm your notice email the upstream providers and threaten legal action. Make sure to CC all partys when you notify the upstream and sponsors so everyone involved can see your serious about this issue.
If no action is still taken and more spam is recieved have a lawyer or you can use SpamCop to persue approprate action on your behalf. It wont cost much to get a lawyer for this type of action and you can get injunctions as well as money for damages.
