hitbot traffic -question

how do you know if someone is sending you hitbot traffic? i am using cjultra 2.03 and there is a guy who sent me 10 hits in 2 second(but 1 unique). is he cheating me?

In Cj Ultra there is no detection for hitbot... UCJ and TM3 work great for dectection hitbot..

You just blacklist the domain after checking each byself.

How do you detect a hitbot using UCJ. I'm all confused!

Also Traffic Drive does have the feature that shows IP's. So how do i find a cheater using that.

You know, a link to some sort of tutorial about hitbotters would be very very useful! Anyone?

I've asked this question on here several times and never yet got an answer.

How much bandwidth does a hitbot burn up compare to a surfer, for example does it load the whole page or just activate a script.

My webstats tell me the number of hits from any given domain and also the amount of bandwidth the surfers from that domain have burned up.

If hitbots don't consume much bandwidth then it would be a pice of piss to spot hitbots just by looking at the amount of bandwidth used divided by the number of hits from the domain.

Anybody got a straight answer to that question because I'm beginning to think its being ignored on purpose.

Just seems a really simple solution to monitor bandwidth consumption instead if pissing around with thousands of IP addresses

If you use TM3 , it has the greatest cheat protection imo

bandwidth - it depends on hitbot. all of them eat something, but some of them eat less some more. for example it may depends on if hitbot load or not to load images.

It does not me he is cheating. That is a terrible ratio 10 Raw 1 Unique. You dont need his raw hits. You can find better traffic.

Deal with scripted sites. They send unique hits and it is alot more productive.

someone hitboatting me from yesterday and can not stop it :( i blacklisted all possible domains, domain extensions, countries, IPs, deleted many traders, but it continues :cussing:
i use ucj. all hits without cokies. they send me 200 - in 80,000 outclicks, something ... :mad:

if anyone can help me, please send me private message

A simple Perl script can help here. THough a bit slower, but your trades will be safe. If it pisses you off soo much - ICQ me(103481168) I can help you out.

There was a thread a month back with a pretty good .htaccess blocking those. I don't have time to search for it, but I know it'll be worth it. :)
