Well I found a notebook, need peoples opinions.

Del Latittude
PIII 550 Mhz
14.1 TTF
256 mb Ram
6.4 GB HD
S-Video Out
CD/Floppy
10/100 Ethernet
Dell Carrying Case

This is going to run me $999 CND or roughly $630 USD
What are people thoughs on this?

I have Dell Inspiron 8200 P4 1.6ghz, and it works like a charm. I recommend a Dell to anyone. :)

Where are you getting this from - Dell.com? I'm thinking you could do slightly better with a newer machine than a P3.

Well it looks like the price is fair.

However, I know that 6.4 GB HDD is way too little for me - I like to have all of my sites on HDD, almost anything of content I've bought, some stupid games and all the software..

However, if the laptop isn't your main computer that shall be just fine. :)

6.4 GB HD. You need at least 10 GB HD.

Yup, hard disc is too small! Dell is very good though!

My Dell has almost the same specs but it has 18 gigs :) Works nicely, good batts too, nothing but good to say about Dell

6,4 GB is ok as long It has 2 USB for external Burner and HDD

My friend is selling his laptop too, but its Turkey not usa/canada so no chance.

dell 2500 model (6 months used, 2.5 years warranty left!)

for 800 USA Bucks only

I think 630 bucks for this machine is a bit expensive, for America price!

Just though I would point out what my main machine is

PIIII 1.4 GHZ
1 GB Ram
220 GB HD (100 X 2 + 20)
16x Yamaha Burner
12x DVD
Ati TV Wonder
Gerforce 2 - 32 mb
Sound Blaster Live

So, as to the 6.4 gb on the laptop, I can always buy a new HD, but I think I will be pretty safe with the 220 gb on my main system.

Im looking for a laptop for a decent price just a basic setup nuttin special, seems like a good price to me .

I had a Dell Latitude before and it worked like a charm..

Next laptop will be dell for sure.. Also maybe next desktop.. black is cool.. :D

i think it was a great laptop, had a ibm also but i liked the dell more. Think dell = hq stuff.

800 is to much for just 300 bucks more I get a brand new with better stuff
