Bougt domain- Now receiving spam complains

Hi, I just don't know what to do... Bought existing domain yest, - change
DNS and receiving spam complains warning from spamcop.net today. What I
suppose to do with this issue. Could somebody help me with this. I try to
call spam cop , but it busy all the time...

sounds like a pain in the ass...is it worth the hassle of trying to sort out the domain or just buy a similar domain and dump the other one?

Contact spamcop with information that you just purchased the domain. If they ask for anything forward them the confirmation email.

I'd write to them and tell them that the domain has changed hands and you do not spam. Ask them to forward details of any spam complaints to the FBI as fraudulent.

I'd also send a copy of their threatening letter to ICAAN.

yeah, as long as you can prove that you had just purchased the domain, then I don't see how they could shut you down.

Along the same lines - I've wondered about the problem of buying an existing domain and not realizing it may have been blacklisted all over the place.

I think I might be tempted to buy another name and use that to set up the site. You could then alias the old name to this and pick up the se and established traffic.

Actually what I found out - my IP not on there hit list. The problem is spamcop has been joe-jobbed.

point him to the whois.
data registered should be on yesterday, tell him you have bought this domain yesterday.
