Need wmv-movie editor

Anybody knows a tool that can cut movies that are in wmv format into parts ?

don't say virtualdub, as that one doesn't support wmv anymore because of some patent thing with microsoft.

I've been using Adobe Premiere for that. Seems to work well although I'm sure there is other stuff out there for less money.

Can't get cheaper than windows media encoder itself.

I don't need to convert them into wmv files, those movies I got are in wmv files by default.

It's 10-15 minute movies, and want to cut them in parts of 3 minutes or something

I don't think that command-line encoder is able to do it :D

1. rename to asf, use official ms asf tools (asf cutter is its name I think)

2. rename to asf, and convert to avi using virtualdub 1.3c
then you can do anything you want to. later versions do not support ms formats.

3. adobe does not support wmv. however, older versions do.

--> all wmv/asf support was removed at MS request (both Adobe & virtualdub)
