I've bought a few domains that start with 0e ("0" is nought in England as well as zero). I think they are great as short punchy names, but the "0e" idea needs publicising. I'm starting to get some hits on my 0epics domain and I'll get a few more "0e" sites going soon. Surfers are going to pick up on the idea of 0e and start looking for it. You could get in now and start some hot sites to help both of us.

what does "0e" stand for? does it have any meaning behind it?
you might want to consider changing your nic to 0eultra160
If you build a site for UK surfers the names might be worth it, but to me they are bullshit.

It'll come as more people start setting up adult websites.
Look at some of the dreadful forgettable names people are starting to use.
Maybe I should register 0ehun

0 nought
e = e
0e = naughty
I think that's too far fetched.

My thought about common phrases is that when the big internet gold rush hit a few years ago the most common cultural phrases were the first to go. I think it's a good idea to explore country/culture specific phrases but just remember that you're tuning out those who don't get it (like Americans). On the other hand - I know that wireless usage in the UK is far and beyond what the US is doing - so if you could tie it in with what is popular in that country/culture it could sell.

I've started using 0e domains, but my traffic is nothing...YET!
What I hope will happen, is that a few webmasters will spot what I am doing and jump on for the ride. At $7 plus a free host, you could mirror a site and pick up some extra traffic. If I'm right, you're on a winner. If I'm wrong - well you've got the extra traffic anyway.
Think of the search engine positioning when surfers start searching on 0e.

now i get it. hillbillies also say 'naught' for zero. I remember Jethro Bodine from the Beverly Hillbilies wanting to be a "double naught spy".
it is kind of a stretch though. maybe if you work hard to get people to recognize it, then you can build a brand, so to speak. but i think people would confuse the '0' with 'O' alot of the time.
al4a.com is named because the owner's name is Al Fore.

you mean I can achieve a profit from registering 0ewhatever domain?
btw. anybody knows how to check popularity of words in search engines? I mean how often people look for partifular groups of words i.e. like "teens sucking toes" or whatever

You won't make any money unless you register it and use it.
If you register it and leave it dormant, you'll just slow the whole process down and lose money.

My personal 2 cents:
I'll never register 0e something as there's plenty of naughtysomething domains left.
0esex.com is absolutely worth the same as 4hsex.com 7$
But, maybe I'm just not getting it, and I might lose billions of dollars because I'd rather buy naughtysomething.org than 0esomething.com. Maybe that's just me.

i've let better names expire. if i really wanted naughtysomething, i am sure i can find an extension with naughty in it. like naughtysex.tv or something. i am just like tenn god father, in that i see not value in it. but that's just me.
i spent a few hours looking for domains to reigster yesterday, there are plenty of regular names available that you don't need to use phonics to create.

I accept everything that everyone says, and I'm struggling to be different here because different can mean more business.
I think 0e is a nice branding identifier ( see my avatar). But there is a lot of work to be done to gain acceptance. I'll start the spade work, and hope that a few of you will join in soon.

"Sometimes, magnetic field strength is expressed in units called oersteds (symbolized Oe). The oersted is a larger unit than the ampere per meter. Approximate conversions are:
1 Oe = 79.578 A/m
1 A/m = 0.012566 Oe" :)
and worst :
OE= Outlook Express !!!!!!! :eek:
btw do you get
www.oe-pages.com ?
Also sent some to you as private msg.

humm to confusing for the average moron, and to much room for typos, when it comes to 0,O, or o. also verbialy telling someone your URL, will probably endup in them typing somethin else
