I am VERY VERY VERY bad at tech stuff and semi- computer illiterate (for a webmaster) so pls don't laugh at me :bounce: !! But how do I know if I have a NIC card installed in my computer?
I want to get DSL but they said I need a NIC card, but I'm not sure if I have one or not ... How do I find out? lol
I *THINK* I have one cuz I used to have Roadrunner cable, does that mean I have one? I mean does cable require a NIC Card? Ok,
be gentle with me and don't laugh toooo much :bounce:
Thanks!

Normally you should have one for your cable connection, yes (if you use an external modem).
Anyhow, look at the cards at the back of your computer, a NIC has a plug like a phone plug but just a bit wider ;)

Thanks for helping Freak! Yeah I have something on the back of my pc with a hole where an oversized "phone plug" thing goes, but I thought was an ethernet card or ethernet cable? The Roadrunner tech man put that inside my computer for cable. Is that the same thing as a NIC? Thanks! :bounce:
