This business is great until you get to the point of burn out. I have been doing this full time for 3 years and then partime almost a year before that. Something about me misses going out in the real world and seeing people. I am actually getting a part time job helping people with disabilities live their daily lives. I will be taking them to the store, helping them around the house and help them balance their checkbooks, etc. While I will still be doing this biz full time I am hoping that by doing this it will help me feel better just by getting out of the house and get me back to the point where I enjoy this business again, when I first started it, it seemed like a fun game to me that made me lots of money, now its become a pain in the ass alot of the time. I've been suffering from burnout since the beginning of 2001, so I hope like hell that by getting this part time job will help me.

I think we all miss the real world. I wish like hell I had enough time to get a part time job, and I wish like hell that I could have something to fall back on if the porn industry goes down. I just don't have the time.

I will go back and get a part time degree sooner or later, but shit, I work like 8-10 hours a day 7 days a week, sucks ass too, especially being single and living alone.

Good luck though, I think you're making a good decision!

I hear ya there man, doing this biz and being single does suck some ass, I know I was getting very depressed sitting at this computer 10-12 hours/day 7 days a week, then I decided enough was enough and I was going to go out and do something about it. So I basially took a 5 month vacation (worked about an hour/day) and made time for a personal life, and I ended up getting married about a year and 2 months ago, then when I wanted to get back to work again, had some health problems. Two days after we got back from our honeymoon I came down with some form of fucked up pnemonia/pluresy that took me 2 months to get over. After my illness I was never able to come close to getting my stuff built back up again to where it was before. This business just keeps getting harder and harder with each passing month and there is no way I wanna depend on this for the rest of my life, I personally dont see the business going in its current state for any longer than 2 more years, if that. There will always be an adult internet, but probably not much for the average joe running it on his own out of his home, it will all be big business. I am grateful for this business, I have a very nice home that I only pay basically pennies for my mortgage thanks to the nice downpayment I was able to make because of this business. So while I may not always be an adult webmaster I will will be very grateful for this biz as it gave me a VERY good start to my life. The only thing that gets me is that I probably gonna have to live my life knowing that I made the most money of my life when I was only fucking 19 years old. Now how many people of past generations can say that??? HAHAHA, God bless the internet, but at the same time damn it all to hell :)
