Help!

Got hit by some kind of fucking virus... why norton didn't pick it up I dunno, it has rest my home page, it is using all my bandwidth and the computer is going hardout doing somthing!! Norton is now fucked, alot of things are totally fuck.. I can't be FUCKED formatting!! jezus christ, any ideas?
Windows 2000, looking for shit in the task manager and see if I can see anything dodgy in the startup but can't see anything.. FUCK!

Hmm well i would scan my email for attachments lock down activex so you can isolate that possibility. Then hit me up on ICQ i give you a good prog to scan your system and registery for items loading and running that you cant see.

Any good virus will not let you to recognise him or to remove him if hi is already running in memory, so best way to scan and removing the virus is by starting up computer from floppy disk (in DOS mode)
and to scan computer from floppy disk.

There is a lot of antiviruses that can run from Floppy in DOS mode.

Also instead formatting disk you can simply
reinstall Windows, and after that to scan
with antivirus all other programs that you have on disk.

Also can't see NTFS in dos :)

Download the Mcafee Virus Scanner and create an emergency disk (preferably from a different computer with win2k). This way the virus scanner should be able to cope with the NT file system.

Got it going now, any win2k guru's out there? I still have my old profile (c:\doc settings\nick1\) and I want to use that again, windows has installed me as (c:\doc settings\nick1.NICK\) so hmm
where can I change this if possible?
