I have a system/program that does this.

It's $800 US though. (Only limited release to 2 customers so far)

I'll try to list most of the major features. I add stuff all the time though so I may forget something ;)

It's a 2 part system. It's windows 9x program (Not a script)

The first part sucks up the pics from the galleries. You can tell it to suck up all pics or only a certain number (I usually get the first 5 from each galelry) I provide a list of daily galleries you can use OR you can use a submission script I'll provide OR there is also a third part to the system I recently wrote that will let you spider your website and get the urls from there. It can now also get thumbs from movie galleries. (It doesn't actually create thumbs from the movies but lets you make use of the thumb your movie posters used. With pics of course it thumbs from the full sized pic)

Once the galleries are sucked down you move to the second part (I call it maker. Creative eh ;)
In the maker you are presented with the 5 (Or however many you choose in step one) thumbs per gallery at a time. If the pics aren't good enough to get posted you right click and it's deleted. If you like one of the pics and want to thumb it you have 2 options depending on how you setup. You can use the automatically created thumbs from step one or you can crop the picture both by left clicking the thumb you want. If you crop a bigger window pops up with the full sized pic in it. The maker knows from setup how big thumbs you want and will only let you crop to the correct size. There are options to both lighten and sharpen both before and after thumbnailing. There are other options to make cropping quick and easy and get just the thumb you want. Once you've got a thumb you like (It goes fast) you just click it and the pages are updated/built and you are presented with the next set of thumbs from the next gallery. Movie galleries are marked with a little "movie" in the corner.

Once it's all done there is one click auto-uploading.

It should work with UCJ or other trading scripts.
It works with categories (Creating a seperate page for each category)
It has support for multiple pages of thumbs all linked together. (See sample sites below)

I probabbbly forgot some of the technical stuff it does but that's the base of it.

That sounds like a time saver. I have seen a few other sites using custom scripts that work sort of like that. My TGP would need to be much larger to justify that expense though.
