Yeah, looks like thier whole network is
down - I think it's all sites they host
that are down.

it looks like that they have some probs with DNS...
try to connect directly to IP address of your site -> everything is ok.

Correct, none of their nameservers are working.

Actually, their nameservers (primary and secondary) go to the same machine so that's not exactly the best they could do to avoid such a problem.

I don't think it was due to this bug in BIND though since then the whole server would be down (it's a root-exploit).

Dear Customer:
We deeply apologize for any downtime between the hours of
6:15A and 9:00A on the day of February 12 2001. This outtage was due to a
DNS server being DOS'd (denial of service attacked). However the bad part
of this is that we were currently upgrading BIND and the server os our
primary server carbon.4ph.com. So both name daemons were running on one
server. Thereby causing this downtime. We do apologize greatly and
appreicate your patience. Please contact us if you have further needs.
