*&%@ Klez shit

I've got the shits of my email address being faked to send out that damned Klez virus. :mad: I just got 2 more emails saying that the email attachments "I" sent to them contained the Klez virus.

And of course, I'm not the one really sending the fucken things. :mad:
And a phone call to my ISP was a waste of time, as they said there's nothing they can do to stop this. So basically, I have to sit back and let people think I'm sending them a fucken virus.

about 50% of all my emails I get daily are the Klez. Good thing I invested in a virus scanner that does email scans. But as far as the spoofing goes, there isn't much you can do, other than to tell everyone you know to virus scan their emails. And hope this headache goes away soon.

no one has time on there hands, I am pretty sure klez sends them out.. Anyways, I just got rid of that virus a while ago. That one was the worst, you cant design without memory very well in fireworks :(

Klez is difficult to get rid of because it comes with ElKern that messes up your av software. It has to be removed in DOS to be safe. I put some stuff on my anti-virus site http://www.no-java.com. (time I updated that though I think).

There are two other things that are as important as av software and nobody sems to do them.

!. Install the Microsoft security vulnerability updates.
2. Set your mail security to "restricted" rather than "internet".
