Contact directnic and ask or have him transfer the domain to another registrar. I think there might even be a 'transfer ownership' thing under your CP when logged in.

Is he staying with the same host - if so then you need to transfer to another registrar or set up a separate account with your curent registrar. They should have a facility for separate control panels, if not change registrar.

If he's changing hosting cos, you can change the dns pointers and move the account later.

You can also change the registration details when you've got his money.

If you are selling it for $2k+ he would be an idiot not to get the details changed so he is the legal owner. Check your registrars FAQ on how to do this, it's not just a case of transferring to another registrar since you'll still be listed as the legal owner.

Then again, if he's paying $2k for a domain he's probably already an idiot. :p

Cheers.

Alot of people, including me, would pay way over that for some domain names... I really feel like an idiot to do so...
