I was wondering which search engines you guys submit your freesites to. Also how much traffic can you get to your sites from the search engines on average. I have a site that is listed at dmoz and so far AOL and google has picked up my site, but i only get about 20-30 hits a day from AOL and only 4 hits so far from google.
I use submitwolf and then I hand submit to dmoz and altavista

Does that submitwolf work good for you? It seems good, but how many hits can you get by submitting with that tool?
i can just recommend you submitting by hand to the biggest SE´s.

Im sure wiredguy will have something to say about this he seems to be up on search engines and I often see him post over at Jims world.
Where do you send off too wired guy and what kind of hits do you get?
I think Ive just been listed in google for the first time the only listings I had before this was for all kinds of stupid phrases which had nothing to do with my site like Giants having sex and naked pokemon

Use hand submit for the biggest one SE(some of them have protection against submitters like altavista who has letters and # which automatic submiters dont see)
Everything you need for SE you can find if you signup with this sponsor: http://www.webmastersmakemoney.com/

NakedPanda seems pretty quick :-) I missed this post originally...
I typically submit to:
Yahoo (paid submit),
All Pay Per Click Engines (GoTo, Findwhat, Sprinks, etc.),
And lastly to Google, Altavista and Excite.
These are the only ones worth the trouble in my opinion. PPC Traffic is the fastest to see conversions, Yahoo provides the most quantity (but does cost $600 a pop to submit) and Google is a challenge in itself. You gotta be a real expert to get a good ranking here or be able to develop a strong link popularity base. Altavista and Excite I don't bother wasting time except for the initial submit, they're a dying breed.
If your looking for SE tips in general and not specific to the adult market, I'm an editor over at www.submitcorner.com (http://www.submitcorner.com)
Features every aspect of SE really, from software submits to hand submits to optimizing your code.
Enjoy :-)

and if you can manage a good rank at ink, their paid listing worth a try. aslo if you have time, open an eye on fast(alltheweb).

Inktomi in general you can't get a top 10 ranking by paid submits unless you submit lots of spoof pages (and pay for those) to boost up one or two particular pages. I never really had much luck with Inktomi and I find google is replacing them on more and more engines these days.
Also AllTheWeb is directly related to Lycos and Lycos now pulls PPC feeds from Kanoodle, so a paid listing on Kanoodle gets you on top of both of these. This relation just started today or yesterday according to the email I got from them.
