Host needed

Hi! I need an host but I have quite some questions bout my host what I want and what I don't want here's the list:
I must pay by bank and I live in the Netherlands so if it is dutch it would be great( If it isn't but I cn pay by bank it's ok)
I need no contract, that meens I pay a month forward and then what I spend every month so you don't have to wait on your money.
I want you to register domain names for me
I want unlimited mysql databases and subdomains (If it's like 10 in my account and I can upgrade later it's ok too)
Cheap bandwith :)
Fast and reliable servers (very important)
and a little support would be great

I know I ask much but i'm small at the moment (have a 10k site on a freehost) and want to grow, first 1 site then 2 etc

It's looks like they have the worst price ever.

He asking for Cheap bandwith and adult-host.nl
is charging more than tvice what I paying for two D-servers and gat a lot of more disk space and BW. And the $210 is not even a D-server.

European bandwidth is more expensive because theres not much choice and those are good prices for that type of service. If most of your traffic is from there and its easier to make payment then it its worth it. If you talk to them they will most likely work out a deal to get your business anyway.

American hosts are spoiled only because of Cogent everyone has been forced to lower prices to be competetive. No one is happy about that but you have to make money and if you loose business to make a little more profit its not worth it. Take a look at what some US based hosts charge the average is $1-3 per gig so you cant just base value on 1 company.

$99us for... a dedicated server, 100mbit line, un metered bw...

then i read it was cogent.... very cheap but worth it ? i think not!

210$ is more than twice what you pay for 2 d-servers?

so you pay less than 52$ per d-server with over 100gb bandwidth?!?

Something is wrong in this. I pay my rackspace more than that, then I pay server, then I pay bandwidth.

your 50$/d-server is quite unreal for someone with a 2 server commitment only..

even with cogent they cant afford to pay server, rack space and 100mbit unmetered... thats 100% sure.

Just the server is almost what they charge you.. 100mbit unmetered at cogent costs over 99$ itself... so you probably share that 100mbit with a shitload of people too cheap to pay for a real host ;)

Hi,

I'm Dutch as well :) And you can pay a lot of hosts with WIRE. Wire is a money transfer from your Dutch bank account to a bank account in another country. BUT the bank will charge you 20-50 euro's for that...

Another option is to get a CC soon.

And not sure about this, but maybe you can get a paypal account, and in stead of filling in your CC ou use your bank account....

credit cards are very safe...

unless u signup to sites with dodgy credit card processing!

we use 2checkout which is very secure and ur cc is very safe (3rd party processor - companies dont have access to your cc #s)

You can't do it with girotel, you have to go the the office itself. But maybe I have even better news. I did a search and spoke a friend, he is using www.lanthost.com He is happy with them, and guess what? They're Dutch :=)

If you're at the postbank, you can do it all from home as well, but just not (VERY unfortunatelly) via Girotel.

Call the bank in Amsterdam to send you a pack of
"internationale overschrijvingskaarten"

If you plan doing more than 10 such transactions, ask for 2 packs of them , since one pack is on 10 sheet.

i agree with toker, if your not looking for alot of bandwidth and most of your traffic is from Europe, you may be better off using a European host and spare yourself the cost of the wire.

However if it is more benefitial for you to host in the US. Give me a shout, I'll be glad to help you out.

I've sended a long email to lanthost but dit not get something back yet, I'm looking for a tgp host and I want to start with 1 domain and grow later (and if it is possible I want the host to register the domain)

Pipiski, give them the rest of the monday to contact you. Remember, the last couple of days formed the weekend...
Maybe they are lazy and don't take new customers during that time... you never know :)
Oh, and IMHO, it's better to go with an independant registrar (to handle your domain)
This way - in case your host sucks and you decide to get a new one - you don't have to contact them for your domain business...
I'm using registerfly (www.registerfly.com). They are pretty good if you ask me. Had one problem with my cc, and they helped me within 12 hours to fix it.

you could try out www.totalit.dk in denmark, they are quite good I hear...

We are based in Denmark as well, so handling payments from your bank is no big issue (quite easy within EU). However our servers are in US, and as the others say, then for european traffic, you might be better off with a european based host - if you are ready to pay the price that is :)
