I signed up for an account last week got my email I agreed to the terms and replyed. They said they usually have accounts set up with in 20min well its fucking like 96hours or 4 days since I signed up with them and I have no account. I ICQ some matt dude but he don't know what he is doing. He said my account was activated and I was emailed. MY ass dude. Even if I didn't get it and all he had to do was email the info back to me again. But no he never did. I keep icq him so he finally put me on ignore or something. I emailed them like 10 times no response. So I guess they just charged my credit card and now there happy. SO NEVER SIGN UP WITH PROHOST.COM

I'd give it a couple more days hog, they've had some trouble and have been making some upgrades over the last couple of days and are working to get things back together.

I have never gone more than 20 minutes without having an ICQ answered, (HINT, for some reason the guy they have on at night is a LOT more laid back than the one I always get during the day).

Bottom line is I have never seen better service than these guys, my 5 other hosts had never come close. I think your experience is highly unusual and that if you stick it out, they will deliver. I know it sounds like an ad for them, but they are one of the VERY few companies that has ever impressed me..

i have a design client who signed up for prohosters and he was up the next morning - this was about 10 days ago. since then, they've been very responsive and helpful.

i think they have been having technical problems for the last day or so - which really can happen to anyone.

adultcentral has very cheap virtual hosting.

Ivanhoe, Richard does not like people talking about themselves in the 3rd person.

He also will kick your ass so hard next time he sees you spamming on the main board.

Just say NO.

Richard.

I got my account setup 5 hours after I replied to the confirmation mail. But my domains were setup today, 107 Hours after my first request. And I never got a response when I mailed them several times, asking what's up with my domains.

Isn’t there an old saying: "You never get a second chance to make a first impression." http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/confused.gif

I think that they are growing a bit too fast. A lot of people are opening accounts there, they already had problems with overused bw etc.

Just give them some time to upgrade their system and solve the current dns problem.

Until now they have always helped me out when i had a problem and i beleve that they are great people.

I have never had a problem with prohosters until the down time they had recently.

Their service is excellent and they have done more for me than any other host I've been with. I know this sounds like an ad, but its not.

Hogleg, I've never talked to Matt, maybe he is new and doesnt know whats going on.

I suggest you get a hold of Ted.

Hosting is the last thing to save Your money. I had to change my host because although their servers were very fast at http they run perl scripts a bit too slow - now I hav one of the fastest host on the net - I pay 5$/GIG but believe me - The speed rocks !!!! - My script is running like hell - no lost of hits out. Cool
It was definetly good investment and I am sure it will give me good revenue.

Remember - Cheap doesn't mean good - even if it looks like it is.

Peace

5 bucks gig? Do you get a free blowjob after 50 gigs?

one gallery listing on the al4a would cost you a 100 bucks.

that seems like alot.

Why not build your own "fast" server and host it at the cheaper place? That would make more sense to me and save you a ton of money

I will fill you in on what is going on to my knowledge.

They had a big DNS problem and where also 'DOS' attacked. They lost a great tech guy and now only have one. Looks like they will not be doing any support until they catch up on requests for domain setups, e-mail setups and so forth. That is all I know. I use them and think they have been great. Shit happens. I would suggest not calling them theives.. that is not going to get you anywhere.
