I just hit them with a chargeback! <br />for $448 !!<br />and recieved every cent from my AMEX.<br />those guys suck big time, simply:<br />They dont give a fuck about your server's uptime, their head support team told me on the phone their job is to lease you the server NOT GUARD IT !!!<br />"its up to you to monitor it" !!<br />unfucken believable!<br /><br />my server was off line for HOURS and no one gave a shit about it!<br />and few times! on 4 days period.<br />I had to make tons of calls till one of the support guys lifted his fat ass to reboot it! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="mad.gif" /> <br /><br />its a big scum! luring you with $99 per server but a $349 SETUP fee which you agree on the terms that its UNREFUNDABLE.. meaning when you get the truth about their lowsy service you then cant ask for the setup fee and they made a nice kill off you!<br /><br />It thought me not look for dirt cheap "offers".<br />If its cheap its fishy! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="mad.gif" /> <br /><br />just my 2 cents.

Rackshack offer a really good deal. however if you want someone to babysit your server and offer tec support etc, you will need to use their competition which charge 10x the amount. It just means if your site goes down you gotta log in and reboot it, and you have to setup your domains and stuff yourself, but no techincial experiance is really necessary to do that, cause its all done with an online interface.<br /><br />Adult sites are fine as long as they are legal

What a bullshit!<br />1. They DO allow everything legal, including IRC which is VERY hard to find these days because of security reasons.<br />2. They have EXCELLENT backbone - multihomed. I have several accounts @ rackshack servers through different providers (resellers), and I haven´t noticed a SINGLE minute of downtime since the end of December because of RS.<br />3. They do NOT offer MANAGED servers. They sell bandwidth & DEDICATED servers - they must be tuned before you hook them up. If you know shit about *nix & networking, this is not for you. They offer very basic technical support, f.i. they do hardware replacement.<br />4. High setup fee is a part of their pricing. They must be very happy when they "sell" the same server several times.<br />5. There are RS resellers who charge higher monthly fee, they waive setup fee, and offer better support.<br />6. There is MORE cogent resellers with better pricing, support, and managed servers.<br />7. You can have a lot of smut for free ... do you want a server for free as well ?
