People say no profit in porn anymore...fine, perhaps the revenue stream has diminished, but can't see why anyone thinks it is dryed up.

A small site with 30,000 uniques per day. If it has a raw exit sponsor paying just $3 per k, and assume 50% of hits aren't counted due to using proxys, popup killers, or from countries not counted, that works out to

30,000 x ($3 / 1000) x 50% x 30 days = $1350 per month

Not bad pocket change. This doesn't even include banners or dialers or other things on the site itself. What's wrong with the math or is this correct?

You forgot the 20% shave :)

But you're right about the pocket change.. still.. not everyone can get to 30k ;)

bahah I doubt exit sponsors count even 50% of your total traffic really. I dont think they shave but instead most everyone's traffic has a lot of foreign and not wanted traffic and I would say maybe 30-40% of your total traffic is USA also yes popup killers have gotten very popular and due to earthlink now offering a free popup killer to all of their users I am very sure it has put a big effect on exit sponsors.

50% is not correct.
Usually 70% not count.

30,000 x ($3 / 1000) x 30% x 30 days = $810 per month

Thankfully there's still a lot of money to be made, but thankfully its getting harder for the dumb people to make money. Market Saturations brings competition - its the survival of the fittest! :)

Anyone that is not lazy and thinks outside of the box can make good money.
