Hi Diesel,

I run an amateur site and I use a Canon XM1 for video footage. It is an excellent video camera, but I can't get decent stills from it. I use a Kodak DC290 for stills which is also a great camera.

If you post your e-mail address I can send you the url of my site so you can check out photos from the camera. People might think I'm spamming if I post it here.

Hope this helps,

Darrell

GL-1 is nice, but for flexibility, go for the XL-1 which has interchangeable lenses, where the GL-1 does not. I'm a pro-videographer and have used both, and the XL-1's quality rivals broadcast formats like beta sp.
