I've seen a few messages in here about stats and conversions etc etc.

If you want to monitor a user as they move through your site
(from entry url to members url) you might want to check out VTracker.

It's free and it's pretty good.

No banner, button or top of the page recip - just a link that can been clicked on.


I'd still rather not give away one of my links for an outside tracker. There are NO better stats you can get than from your own serverside. I use my own cgi script and on a few other domains I use a server log parser script. Outside counter stats are not always accurate also.

The link can be tiny and out of the way if you want - it's just a search engine thing.

The call to the tracker is simply to log your hits. It's not a tgp bot or anything..I assume thats what you meant?

Flick you don't get it - the link in whatever form to your counter still counts as an outside link to TGP's on a gallery. Therefore if some TGP's only allow 1 outside link to every 5 pics then I'm giving up my advertising space to your 1 link for the stats. I'd still rather have my own stats from my own server and not worry about some outside company. Just my own opinion - I'm sure there are others though that would still want to use your service.
