There has always been Hindu/Muslim violence in India. The demonstration over Falwell's remarks was just a flareup waiting to happen; if not that, then something else.

Labout - all I can say is:

1) You have no idea about my political leanings. I'm not attacking you personally so let's just keep it on that level ok?

2) This isn't my only job as I've stated about 400 times in past posts - in fact I work for a large consulting company that does a lot of work for the government.

3) My comment was mainly driven at the right wing christian groups who do lobby to get any sexual referece moved off of TV, Radio (they really hate Howard Stern), movies etc. So basically what makes you think that they won't go after your livelihood here? So you're saying it's ok if they take away your business? Why are you here in the first place then??

4) There is something called "Freedom of Religion" in this country which says that we have the freedom to worship as we please. Some people in this country take it to mean that you can worship the Christian God but have no understanding or willingness to conceed that God comes in many forms and yes the Muslims have a right to believe in Mohammed. The Islamic religion is actually a very peaceful religion - it's these people like the Al Qeda that actually pervert it with nationalistic jabber. The eqivalent of what white supremicist groups do in the US by quoting the bible to justify their hatred of ethnic groups.

To be honest, I don't think that Islam is a religion of peace. Can you tell me where it says in the old testament that sending your kids off to be martyrs will send them to heaven? Matter of fact, it's just the opposite of that. And you're right, there is freedom of religion. Just because the Bill Of Rights gives you that right, that doesn;t mean I have to stand by and let you say what you want about my religion or any religion I represent. Sure. you have that right, I also have the right to take matters into my own hand.
