Hmmm....I think the Hun charges that amount because he can...not because of the high conversion ratios. If people are willing to pay for it...you can sell it.

I dont think the amount the Hun charges for a spot is a good measure of how well bookmark traffic converts. I would however be interested to hear what others have to say and make my own judgment.

Okay guys let me let you in on something I overheard the other day. A trick for converting bookmarkers to paysites, given time.

I heard big daddy talking on the phone the other day, just before I went on my vacation.. he was explaining to some overseas partner about his new strategy. Yeah I know, he'll kill me if I post this. But it's all good. He refuses to pay the $200 he "saved" in breakfeast/lunch monies that I usually get, on my 7day vacation.. since it was a "vacation". Bah. Anyway.. to the point.. before my caffeine overdose slips away.

This apparently works best if you're an experienced TGP poster and can shell out a few extra bucks for extra bandwidth.

The trick is to lull the TGP visitors (i.e the stupid guys looking for free porn that come from the TGPs) to a "free site", something similar to Join4Free.

Getting signups to such a site is quite simple if you know your way around and you can probably squeeze 500+ signups out of a simple TheHun posting.

How this should be structured is simple: They signup with just their email, like at any email sponsor and when doing so, agree to receive daily, weekly or monthly "special offers/newsletters" mailed to them. When they signup, they get a unique password mailed to them. No need for verification thingies like normal email programs have though, since they have to use a real e-mail to get their pass. When they login for the first time, there should be a very short survey asking some basic questions such as:

1. Preferred niche (i.e the kind of porn the surfer likes)
2. Would the surfer be willing to pay for quality porn (a Yes or No question.)

In the site, you should have a fair amount of content, not 10 bad thumbs like some free sites have, but the whole pack in a mini-version, i.e enough pics/videos/streams/whatever to get them to stay and come back, even let them come a few times heh. Get them as regulars. You should also update the site with new fresh content on a regular basis. Doesn't have to be much, but enough to make them curious and login again. The longer they stay active, the more they'll start to "trust your judgement".

The key here is the build up a stable and ever increasing amount of members and get them to feel satisfied, get them to "trust you" (trust comes automatically when they've "participated" a while) and be a part of a "community".

Then you'll start mailing ads. All bookmarkers eventually signup for something on the net, for sure. With the small trust you've earned and by being friendly towards them in the ads, you can convert at amazing ratios. And don't design the letters as ads! Design them a friendly "special offers" or "recommendations" and make a point of giving them, JUST THEM, a discount or special deal if they signup through you. (This could be arranged with any sponsor if you have the numbers or if you have your own paysite.) You want them to feel special. You want them to feel that they're receiving value from you. Don't be too pushy and mail 10 sponsor letters a day or week, but mail in small and selective amounts with very few sponsors.

Now here comes the bonus:

Remember the survey they filled in when first logging in? They selected their "porn preferences". This is where you can make serious money if you take your time. What you do is that you mail those "special offer/discount" letters advertising sponsors only relevant to the surfer. What I mean is.. if a surfer said he's interested in big black chicks, then only advertise such sites to him!

For all of this to work, you need to be able to push traffic to the site with a CJ or regular and massive TGP postings, buy traffic or even offer some kind of affiliate program. You'll also need to be able to shell out a few bucks for the bandwidth the site will take (with optimized content size and by utilizing thirdparty plugins, even free ones, you can keep costs at a low) and maybe even some for the content.

And you'll need a script for it. There are some "opt-in email" thingies out there (free or cheap scripts) that you can have customized or you could hire a programmer to do a completely custom script for you.

So as you can see, it's not exactly for the beginner. In fact, it's probably best for the bigger players that can afford testing new strategies.

And I really apologize for making this post even the least difficult to understand. It's early and I've had way too much coffee already for my own good.
