As for the 15$ that's sick!
But I must admit as search engine guy, that goto.com is a quality search engine!

Targeted, I wish I could do business with them!, but they are just to expensive!

WiredGuy

Yeah, GoTo is one of our best sources for traffic. Damn expensive, but in the long run they're one of our best leads.

Data Recovery makes big bucks. I know how desparate people get, once I finished recording a song and somehow all the tracks got deleted. I immediately searched google for data recovery software and bought 2 for over $100. If people blow up a harddisk they are going to be paying much much more than that.

goto.com is a quality search engine....HA !!

MTV used to have 1$ listings for music and there site didnt even sell anything (except MTV brand of course )it just gave away free content and music feeds.

Every time after the first 2000 times they played Angels by Robbie Williams I went and clicked on there link just to spite them same with that terrible Titanic song by Celine Dion

Yes, that's true. GoTo was not made for consumers, rather businesses. Who would pay money for a personal home page or a gallery? Not many! But, throw in businesses and you have yourself a goldmind. At least, I use them and they're my goldmine :-)

Go to was a goldmine for you?
It didnt realy work for me and I was pissed by the whole Mojo search thing but lets not go into that again

WiredGuy

Yup, GoTo is my goldmine. It depends how much you pay and the keywords. I take in about 125 joins per week so yeah, GoTo is working out great!

What's the mojosearch incident?

NakedPanda

In the past whenever I bring this up the post generaly tends to get shut down as the web board runners count mojo as one of their top sponsors plus obviously 12clicks never shuts up but here goes anyway.

I used to use goto to promote someone elses site bought all their shit about oh we get our traffic from advertising at backstreet boys concerts and on radio then I found out about mojo search and I thought cool I'll use it on my galleries what a sweet deal we cant loose I'll make loads of TGP submissions like everyone else Mojo will make loads goto will make loads the only people getting screwed are the businessess paying for clicks they think are generated through advertising in old media when its actualy coming from search boxs on tgp galleries and then it hit me oh yeah thats me http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/frown.gif Im paying like 6cents for search terms displayed to people clicking on search boxes on TGP galleries under the facade that its search engine traffic I will watch what I say here cos I dont know if that counts as fraud but its certainly very misleading.

Anyway I guess searchboxs on galleries arent so prevelant now and if it makes you money fine it just pissed me off so much to think of some tgp surfer clicking on our 6cent bids

Panda
When people pay for search engine traffic they want se traffic not traffic from search boxes on CJ sites or tgp galleries.

WiredGuy

I didn't think you could buy traffic from mojosearch? Do you have a link on how/where to buy from mojosearch. I actually wouldn't mind giving it a shot. We've been making almost 400% return on investment from GoTo so I think our titles/descriptions may be able to pull anyways.

Thanks

????????

You are starting to confuse me now

I thought mojo worked out some incredibley sweet deal with goto something bound to work and make loads which I might have been able to do hence part jealosy (or however its spelt)
The deal was they set us program with search boxs when someone searches it takes them to goto listings if the searcher clicks goto get some mojo get some and the person using the box get some or am I mistaken ????
Ie there boxes provide surfers for goto or dont they?

Panda
If youre looking for other pay per click se
you must have this thing down
Ive had mixed experiences with others and the traffics not as good but theres findwhat kanoodel and a few others

instead of goto now

wow, 125 signups a week! Thats almost like 15 signups a day, Tell us your secret!!

WiredGuy
08-14-2001, 05:51 PM
Oh, I know for sure it's not GoTo that Mojosearch uses, it's a small pay per click se since I compared the results before. Maybe Kanoodle or ePilot or something.

evilcat: It's closer to 20 per day now actually. As for the secret, that's all I'll say. GoTo is our goldmine. Sharing anymore causes competition. The real kicker is that I spent about 2 months gathering keywords, it's paid off nicely :-)

Hi Richard, thanks for the nice comments :-)

Newbies can ICQ me and I'll help on small things. You ask me for my keyword list and I'll laugh in your face though! Newbies: Keep your questions short and to the point and I'll respond.

I did the same massive keyword investigation got some realy good ones too.
Tried putting trial cost in title to keep costs down but didnt get many hits.
Couldnt be fucked to build seperate pages around the same kind of keyword ideas so I just sent them to a site promoting general adult stuff which didnt seem to work.

Im sure mojo originaly sent to goto If their not anymore maybe goto traffic converts even better now

lycos shows the top3 goto resluts for any search on there page but looking at them I see they cut the descriptions short so if the description is long it will all be seen on goto but not on lycos should descriptions be changed to fit lycos or should they just be left alone

Wiredguy,

Are these your paysites you're promoting through Goto? If not, what did you do when they asked you for a password to check the sites out?

andy2000
08-15-2001, 03:30 PM
Wiredguy said somwhere he promotes trafficcashgold on goto. It does seem that if goto don't know a site thats submited they want a password but traffic cash is very big. That said I submited their pee site to goto but made the mistake of sending them straight to the site so it was rejected for popups and also they said for links to beastality and they never liked the domain name. when i sent them teenflood they rejected that as they needed a password to see if it had child porn inside and becouse of the domain name. I think they rejected my first 5 sites then they took one which was like the site 5 but with a thing on it saying all models ar at least 18 years old and so far it's doeing ok. there alot more fussy than findwhat

WiredGuy

I promote TCG sites correct. We have an agreement with them to restrict popups (so GoTo will accept us) and on top of this we show Goto the agreement we have with TCG to show them we are a partner and they generally will let us get by without a password. If the editor is very fussy, we just give them a password that TCG issues us. They typically will give webmasters passwords if you can show them large volume in sales.
