Just wanted to submit a gallery to a site i've never ever submitted before and found out that my ip range was banned...

I then emailed the owner of the site and he was very kind to provide me with a fast answer.

"Your gallery has no banned html however I suspect your ip address might be in the 194, 195 range which are no longer excepted by my site due to the high percentage of gallery fraudsters"

Thus more or less, any submitters on the @home network can forget it . I call that ip discrimination. :D

I then replied that he must think about that, if he went banning more ip ranges in the next 1-2 years, he shouldn't wonder why he won't get any submissions at all, hehe :D

Though, it was funny - i never had such a rejection's reason in the last 2 years =)

I'm afraid there is a lot of statistical discrimination. Look at all the reports that are produced of users broken down by age and sex! :D

It used to be more expensive to insure red cars. If you want a red car I'm afraid you have to pay the premium.

if you write him again, recommend him that he should ban by dns, that helps a ton and may entirely fix his problem (over time of course)

Whatever, i won't bother him anymore - he was kind enough to explain me what was going on. After all, it's his site and his rules ;)

Still, it was funny.
