with porn it has been around before we had cameras, people used to paint porn
the internet came and so it easy access to porn.
for us webmasters it will get harder to make money, and more scarce traffic due to the amount of webmasters growing

It's hard to say. I think a big factor is whether or not broadband/DSL takes over internet connection within the next 5 years.

If that happens, it could mean more money, could mean less money.

but I don't see the porn industry continuing to go down over the next couple of years, like it has the past couple of years.

The net is seeing as much free porn now as it ever will, and that's pretty certain.

But who knows, there's no way of banking on anything...

I'm used to people asking if the porn industry will go down over the next 5 years, not what will go up :D

It's gonna take a little longer than that. 5 years is nothing. We have the technology to do a lot. In 5 years we will have 5 times the technology, but it's not worth anything unless everyone can afford it. Broadband is the next best thing, and even that has work to do. just my $.02

all I see is harder work, as technology increases then bandwidth could get cheaper, which means more free sites will be posting bigger movies, which means the paysites will have to "out do" the free sites.

In 2 years the economy will be back up and so will be the porn sales.

I do think the normal paysites will be gone. paysites have to be more innovative to make a sale

What about the idea of a sponsor restricting how their site can be promoted, such as with CJ and TGP2, in order to help switch people over?

I know it would be impossible to keep tabs on everyone, but just the general idea of a sponsor doing _something_ to encourage limiting the freebies, is interesting. {that reminds me, I think there are a few sponsors who give larger payouts for TGP2'ers}

True, there is a change in paysites already (bangbus), I guess reality sites will take over, till the point of where reality will get real reality and people will get the chance of having virtuel porn at home. But that will take about 10 years or more I guess.

Remember people always saying back in the 80's there wouldn't be any cars left in the year 2000? Well I still don't have my own futuristic car/plain, so it's not growing so fast anymore.

Porn will not go anywhere.

I think with the worsening online marketplace, alot of webmasters will leave the business, therefore the strong ones will stay around and get richer.

This could cut down on the amount of free porn available?
