Hi,

I just looked at http://www.xxxwebhosting.com/hosting/
I think that's a fine price for the hosting. But I have some questions. As you can see, you've 20 domains? what does that mean(subdomain and just for the price of 50$ month?)And what does Transfer
(GB)-(burst) mean? It says 15-45 GB. But can you have 45 GB traffic each month without paying more?

I think you can have 20 domains, not subdomains. The GB means that your package includes 15GB of transfer but you can burst to up to 45GB where it's capped though. So you can't go above 45GB in any month with that plan.

hmm another hosting provider with another confusing page. (what happened to using professional webhosting companies?) it refers to the gb and burst limits as "speed" as well as transfer, which makes little sense.

it sounds like what they meant was you'd get 15GB included in the plan, and up to 30GB more before they shut you off. the 30GB would be counted as overage. the idea there would be that you couldn't buy a 15GB plan and use 1000GB and then skip on the bill.

Just an FYI that I use these guys myself and if you like their plan, then i highly recommend them. They have been very responsive to all my needs with very quick support. My #1 concern with hosting is reliability and my site has been down less than 5 minutes total (scheduled upgrade) in the 3 years I've hosted with them. Plus there servers and connection are fast as hell!!

Hey thanks guys, in reference to the burst we use it as a guideline for plans. Customers can request more burst at anytime, we just want to make sure they are aware of the potential usage before it hits.

here is my standard cut and paste reply to..


In reference to your bursting question on our accounts. The first number
is the amount of bandwidth that comes with the included price, the burst number
is what the site is capable of handling. Also we will upgrade the plan to more
available burst usage if you like. We mainly do this to prevent our servers from
being overloaded. Overages would be billed for anything over the base amount,
we have $4 overages with a button or $5 without on our virtual plans and $3 on
our dedicated server plans.

A good price for good hosting. I've been with them for 18 months and their hosting has been of a high quality, as has been their customer support.
