hey, i was reviewing galleries, and what the fuck do i get:

i get a new homepage, 30 bookmarks

and the best of all:

the have messed with my privileges so now i can not access the "Tools" portion of internet explorer, if i find out who did this, ill fucking kill them, cause now i get popup hell, and the only way to change it is in the registry http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/frown.gif

if you know how to get rid of this, or have seen a fix for it, id be really appreciative if ya could let me know

Im seeing so many threads on this sort of bullshit!

For the past year, I work with both my Java, and Javascript dissabled. Too many shitty tricks.

What does this code look like? Is it a .js file? Is it easily recognized when looking at sombody's source code?

I think I need to now look at the source code of every gallery that gets submitted to me. I would hate so much for some surfer to be fucked over like that.

I would hate for a child to turn on the computer, and get bombarded with porn. This shit sucks!

The exploits that change the home page and admin-priviliges rely on modifying your registry.
If you like to know exactly what your visitor's will be up against (and I think that's admirable) then why not use one of those background registry tracking programs to alert you of changes and/or allow the return of the registry to a previous state? I think Norton Utilities comes with something like that.

Alternatively, why not set all js and activex permissions to prompt? Then you know when something suspicious is going on by the warning dialog.

I think i should step in here for a moment and advise you try this small fix. This way whenever it happens you just run this and reboot and its all fixed. However "it wont remove bookmarks" due to the fact they would be to hard to figure which one was added by every assholes site.
