Holy SHIT! Has anyone else seen, experienced, this movie? Man, we've been wrong all along, the biggest best movies aren't made by US film crews...No where near..Asia has us beat hands down..Holy fuck, I have NEVER seen an english movie that even comes close to touching the quality and mastery of this movie..
EVERYTHING is perfect with it..EVERYTHING...
I went in thinking it would be a Jacky Chan style fighting movie..Where the fighting is the main attractor as our stupid North American Commercials made it out to be in order to attract the lower forms of life that populate most of this continent..But the movie is Deep beyond deep, the acting is unbelievable, the Cinematography is to die for...Everything is amazing...
And yes the fight scenes are about 8000 times better than Jackie Chan/ The Matrix put together... Un-be-fucking-lievable...
I don't even want to watch another Stupid English movie for a good couple of weeks..
WOW and Oh My God best describe it...IMHO Best picture hands down..Like NO contest whatsoever..The only thing that could EVER keep it from that Award would be the prejudice and bigotry that litter the Judging panels...Wow...I can't even begin..
Wow

thanks, unconnected! i was already planning to see it - now it'll be soon.

the best jackie chan movies weren't made in the u.s. his u.s. films he had to slow down his fighting, and change his perspective. we just saw the rerelease of drunken master. it rocked!

he is doing a sequel to shanghai noon called shanghai night, and then says he is retiring from fighting.

if you want to read a really depressing book, read his autobiography. truly one of the most horrible childhoods on the planet - but he grew up to be a very talented and likeable person, i think.

My favourite Jackie Chan film is Police Story - it is WILD! For some reason JC is not very popular here in HK, locals seem to think that he has sold out to Hollywood (but everyone still goes to see his latest movies!)

Unconnected, i saw it last week, then i went and saw it again.

Damn, came out of the cinema, jumping up cars, flying around the carpark http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif very good film.

Fight scenes are totally awesome, although the first time you see some of it you are like "bullshit! atleast the matrix explained why they can do all this cool shit" but it definitely grows on you.

There are some fucking cheesey ass lines from Lo don't you think?

"Ever since i was a child i would watch the stars, but now (looking at the bird) i have found the brightest one of all".

lol, we pissed ourselves laughing, very funny in parts.

"A faithful heart makes wishes come true"

Rich.

Shovel - when did JC become unpopular in HK? for many years, he was the #1 box office draw there, and still was a year and a half ago.

Jet Li is the man guys. He's so big in Asia. Get his movies, he's better then Jackie Chan.

Chyea!
But the woman in that movie was unbelievable too..Her fight scenes with Jade Fox's pupil were definitely the best I have ever seen...
I walked out of the theatre in total jaw dropping silence.. and then I flew across the road http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif
But I think I am going to learn how to speak Mandarin just so I can watch that and understand it..

Basschick,
All my Chinese friends reckon that JC is only popular with Westerners. They all prefer triad films. (But I reckon they all watch his films in secret!) There's a new Jackie film being released this month - Accidental Spy.

Nothing against Easterns, but the best scene ever showed in the cinemas arround the world is still the bomber-attack of starship-troopers as the bugs get the shit bombed out of their asses on this desert planet...
God damn, I pissed my pants as the bug-pieces were flying arround LOL http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I just saw Crouching Tiger... and it was great. The look and feel of the movie was fantastic. I have always been a fan of the old-style kung fu movies, with the long hair and floating on buildings (not the Bruce Lee/Jackie Chan style)

I did hear some fellas in the back complaining about the subtitles, but they were just ignorant.
