need like a mass compression software for images........
something that lets you choose a folder and compress all the images for you

What type of images are you trying to compress? gif's or jpeg's.
In my experience you can't compress images, but you can batch convert gif'd to lpg'd which will save space.

If you have abobe imageready you can create
a 'droplet' - and drag a folder with images
on the droplet to batch convert, basically
anything you can do in imageready can be
saved as a droplet, killer program.

Thumbs+ and Arles can also do it.
