Throttling signups after certain amount is reached

Someone was saying that on the ARS board:
That he siged up three times and every time the ration was fine at the beginning and then decreased within the next months after he reached a certain amount of total signups. Now, actually my ration was also 1:400 with ARS (10-15 sales a day) and decreased to 1:800-1000 within several months. Is this true, is it a common practise, and to which other sponsors does it apply? We all know shaving is quite regual business but I hadn´t though about such a built-in software throtteling after xx signups are reached. And most sponsors forbid having more than 1 account right?

Additonal note: Both, mine, and especially the experience of the other one claiming that ARS decrease, are based on quite reasonable figures in the 10-20 signups/day area, just so you don´t start talking about normal daily up/downs etc...summer shave down etc.. http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif. The signup/ratio numbers have some significance because of the high numbers.

How do you get 10-20 signups a day???

Right now I get only ~9 per day (alone at ARS, plus 1-3 from all others together, such as Maxcash, Dialer money, german stuff), with ~7000 uniques from SE´s. There is no tgp involved at all. But I was doing ~13 day average in March/April when I signed up new for ARS. I had less traffic then but was converting 1:400 so I earned more in the end. Now it´s 1:800, actually 1:1200 right now.

BTW: Two other people are saying the same about throtteling ratios after a certain amount on the ARS board meanwhile. And the crew doesn´t respond at all...I´m running my own test, too now with anew account. No results yet, it´s only 1 hour old.

In my opinion it would be self destructive and downright stupid for a sponsor to limit the number of signup's you can have...

Just the up's and downs of the business I'm afraid... chances are if you keep the same level and quality of traffic that the signups will return to whats normal for you..

I must add though that even nine signups/day is quite a a nice chunk of change at the end of the month (at 35 / ARS signup, thats 315/day or over 9000/month)

That is a fair amount but it was better and I feel that I deserve more. And I do it for a living, not as a after daytime work. I HAVE a regular work too but I don´t work much at all for it (self employed in my own 10 people company with no salary for me hehe).

And while we are talking the ratio is going down the tube. The same every time: Each time I go and get more traffic from the SE´s the ratio goes down and I end up with less money for more work.

ARS could be in stress right now I believe. Don´t want to grumble to much but since the weekend they don´t communicate anymore and MArcDe seems to have dissapeared at all. Not that I would expect him to talk to the webmasters every single day but 4 days not saying anything about the throtteling thingy is strange.

You are not imagining this! in my opnion ARS does shave and I noticed the same thing from them 6 months ago. ARS SUCKS ASS I WOULD NEVER TRUST THEM!

In my programs I want to pay you as much as possible to get you to stay with the program, too many other places to get $ for traffic... Ditch them and go someplace else..

Ineresting point. I've noticed a similar situation with CEN. My ratio has gone up within months, as if they first pay you well to get ya hooked, and then give you less and less money ones you send them lots of traffic. Of course it's very hard to tell if the drop in ratio is a result of shaving or traffic quality.

If ARS shaves, then who doesn't? AVS?

I don't know i had the same thing with ARS. had a ratio of 1:40 with SE traffic, then all of a sudden all sites, even shemale SE traffic is like 1:500 thats incredible.

I recovered, build my own tours with avs sites, and making hella more cash.

About signups stuff, what i think is that big companies, are just more and more known, when you have 100.000 webmasters promoting your sites (as ars etc..) that make an incredible number of surfers that click your links and go on their site.. they bookmark it, come back days later etc...
and after a few months of intense activity, the ratios have to fall, i feel this is normal... the only advice would be to find a small company and try them, and when it comes big, move to another small...
the danger is that they might not pay you, you have to take the risks, and see how it works for a few banners placed on your site..

i don't know if everyone get all, but i understand myself... lol
