Which do you think are more productive:

Picture Galleries or
Movie Galleries

????

and why?

It depends on what the site you're promoting focuses on. If the content is mostly really good movies, then you should be showing it off to let them know that there's some good stuff to see when they sign up!!! ; )

I do mostly movie galleries, and do decent with them. For free sites, though, I only use pictures.

It would make sense that with the recent explosion of broadband across america, surfers will start wanting more bang for their buck...I mean, jerking off to pictures, that's gotta get old quick :)

Bandwidth and hotlinking are the main issues, especially the latter. There is no real way to hotlink protect Mpeg movies without using javascript and cookie blocking, or fancy server side scripts (at least to my knowledge)

When I switch hosts next month, Hotlink protection will be my #1 priority...hotlinkers are scum, they don't understand that it's theft. I can't believe more hosts don't support hotlink protection; well, more money for them I guess, it sickens me :mad:

BTW, content is KING.

merge the two concept....do pictures galleries with one or two short mpeg samples...it works really really really well most of the time...

Yes I find this to be the case too...

Also, I see "live video sex" services become a lot more popular in the next couple of years as broadband speeds increase and more competition enters the market place.

I haven't done a pic gallery in over a year and things are going well but, I know several people that never do movie galleries that make a fortune... If I had more time I would do both.
There is money in both if you have good traffic.

Both can be good profitable, but movies galls cost you more if you must pay your own bandwith bills :p

Movie galleries all the way, Just make sure you don't give them to much free content... :)
