I've done searches on just about every adult BBS I can find, and I can't find any consistency in the posts...about 50% bad comments, 50% good comments...
I was thinking about moving my sites over to them next month, I just wanna know if anybody has any horror stories, praise, etc. about them.
Will a virtual account with them be ample for a 50k-100k/day TGP running UCJ?

I have used them for about 3 months now.. I have a dedicated server there. Its alot cheaper then i was paying and i think its faster then what i used to have.

Hey, nice to meet you abshard, I didn't know you ran Fuckk.com...You send a shitload of hits...thanks for my partner account :p
I think I'm gonna try them out, luckily there are no contracts to sign, so if they don't work for me, I can drop them...
Contracts suck ass, I found that one out the hard way :::..cough..::::.candid...:::hos....cough...:::cou gh:::ting:::cough....:D
I had an account with them, used it for 1 month then I emailed to cancel it which they did but they billed me for about 6 months after it was cancelled, I did not notice for the 6 months because I dont read my mail much.

Im glad you enjoy my traffic =) About the contract, you need to fill out a "contract" but i believe its month to month not a 1 year contract or whatever. You can use my referer code if you like =)

I definetely will, I've got about a month to go on candidhosting.
We gotta trade some traffic when I get everything set up.

Contract is only required for dedicated services and its only month to month no long term just to be sure webmasters do pay for their overages. Billing problems are bound to happen but its very rare and when there has been mistake on our end we have always tried to make up for it.
We did have many issues starting out and major improvments have been made in the past year. If you arent happy with the service we dont force you to stay and we will do what is needed to keep our customers happy within reason. :)
Forgot to say they did not refund my money.

You cancelled your account and they billed you for 6 months and then didn't refund you? That doesn't sound like them at all.

I remember a few months back they decided to void a bunch of webmasters accounts saying they were not profitable enough for them. They had posted ad's like they are now and then people moved to their servers only to find themselfs having to move even though they had done nothing wrong only because datahost didn't want to live up to their end. I'd look elsewhere once a snake always a snake. Your time and your business means nothing to them. Beware!

If you have never been with datahosters your opinion does not really matter. The clients who were asked to move were refunded or we worked out ways to compensate them and move them up to bigger plans. We have some of the lowest prices in the industry and the choice was made for good reason. It was not profitable under the original model to offer smaller plans and the changes have allowed us to offer more competetive pricing.
Yes we had problems starting out with our pricing structure and service offerings just as any other new venture might have. Business is a risk and to remain competetive you must take even greater risk along the way. We have made many improvments along the way like the custom ordering, billing and support system which was totally built from scratch.
Currently we are home to over 300+ webmasters who are 100% satisfied with our services. We also sell more dedicated servers in 1 week then most hosts will sell in 6 months due to the cost effectivness and stability of the network.
Matter fact another large host has announced on GFY they will be shutting down all virtual hosting services for the same reasons we dropped our smaller plans. Yet we are able to continue to offer virtual services and remain profitable because we made the right choice. It was not easy to turn away a large number of clients but the decision had to be made to remain in business.
Its not all about money in our pockets its about company growth, client savings and reliable services our customers expect. You dont see banners flashing all over the net with datahosters because the money we save on advertising goes in our clients pockets.
I dont know anything about the situation with Jeny as i do not handle billing myself. But i what i really dont understand is why it took 10 months before speaking up about this issue. The account was terminated on Jan 24th to be exact. If a client has a problem that is not resolved properly they can come and speak to me about it i have said this many times.
I do value the reputation of datahosters or i would not even take the time to reply to this post. Again if anyone has an unresolved issues im on this board every day and im very easy to get in contact with.

I've been hosting with datahosters.net for about a year (even during the 'bad' times) - I've never had a problem with the service and support. They are easy to get a hold of, and in the beginning when there were some problems, they even supplied a month of free hosting for me to make up for any inconvenience.
I currently have 9 sites with them, and have no plans on moving anytime soon.
People have to realize that there is no such thing as 'perfect' hosting, there will be bumps along the way no matter how great the servers are, how fast the network is, or how many techs they have answering email. These guys have kept me a happy customer for a year, and I would recommend them without any qualms whatsoever.

We have 2 dedicated servers with them and it's the first time I don't worry about whether our sites are staying up. I feel like we have alot of control if a situation does come up.

I think that they are good, but if you want run stable your TGP, I think that best way is buy your own dedicated. I can give you contact to one good company which can sell you - 2.0 p4 512 ram 40GB hdd, 300 GB transfer (0,6/additional GB) for 150gb/month, 25 IPs. I am there too and they works perfect ;) ICQ 24/7 hotline etc. ...
Virtual accounts are very often overloaded etc. and our sites than goes down :(

It's going to be a year hosting with datahosters, I went from having a virtual account to a server.
Never any problems and I'm very happy with the customer service, they're always there and Frank goes beyond what his duties are to please his clients.
The only reason why I would leave DH, would be if webmastering became unprofitable for me :)

Thanks to everyone for all the positive feedback about datahosters. We certainly are thankful that you would take your time to post great things about our service.
As for Jeny this is totally untrue and we have no idea why this lie is being made about us. This person is aparently the boyfriend of Jenny who used to build and sell TGPs. Most of the older guys will remember her and Jennystgp.com ect..
No one from datahosters took his/her money and the account was closed on Jan 24th as requested end of story.

No doubt - datahosters all the way. Good support, great prices and Toker on ICQ... what more do you need ? ;)
I'm on dedicated with them (over 4 months)...
And I don't believe that they biiled somebody for 6 months... I have virtual with them and changed it to dedicated - they move all my domains to dedicated and left virtual online (a few days after end of my virtual period) till DNS fully propagate...
