The other thread about where people were from, had 37 posters, and 350 page views.

Just thought i'd see where those 350 people were from.

2 postings=2 views,the first checked the 2nd and the 2nd checked the first
after 3 postings=+3 views,the one who posted viewed it,and the other 2 checked it aswell
after 4 postings=+4 views,the one who posted viewed aswell,and 1,2,3 checked it again.

.
this means,if everyone who posted viewed allways the new threads,it could receive 1+2+3+4+5+.......35+36+37 views,and all posted.

all in all,theorethically this would be 703 views,and all posted.

emgee, not sure i follow what you are saying?

I was curious as to which boards have webmasters from which countries. You remember a poll a few months ago about where people were from?

It turned up that there were more europeans (who voted) on the board than north americans, which was quite a surprise i think.

I'm running that image above through software, that translates an IP address into where the surfer is in the world. So, everyone who sees that image, or views this thread, is contributing to working out this statistic for AWI.

At the end of the day hopefully there will be a fair few pageviews, and some data on the users of AWI :)

I'll post the stats at the end of the day, got about 9hrs left.

Its only a small sample of the people who read the board, but should show some interesting results.

At the moment, about 35% usa/canada - 48% europe - 17% rest of world.

Holland and Denmark leading the europeans.

Question is, how many foreign surfers have you got on your websites?

Knowing where your traffic is from is pretty important imo, (hehe, i'm not biased at all :D). If 80% of your money is made by american supscriptions, is it not logical to place more importance on your usa traffic?

I'd much prefer a trade that was sending me 100% usa traffic, than 100% japanese traffic... ;)

This is a part of what my software does, it can show images/html to different surfers around the world, all on the fly. I could also link it to the script, and it would redirect you to wherever i chose when you click it.
