I AM GETTING MAD, ANYTHING I CAN DO ABOUT THIS?

Hello. I am getting very mad. Lately I have had other webmasters etc. E-mailing me asking what I was trying to E-mail them. They are telling me that they received an E-mail from me when in fact I have never even sent them an E-mail to begin with.<br /><br />I know that people have these E-mailing programs out there that make it look like it comes from your E-mail address when in fact if you look at the headers or footers of the E-mail you can see who it really came from. That's what I keep E-Mailing these other webmasters back. I ask them to please look at the headers or footers and they will see who it really came from. This is getting very frustrating though is there anything at all that can be done about this? If so, please post what I can do about this problem. <br /><br />This kind of thing can cause serious problems especially if you were to get turned into your host or sponsor for spamming etc. when in fact it really is not you. PLEASE HELP

Hello. Thank you to everyone who has responded. I greatly appreciate it. I did read the threads on the other message board and that helped because I have been also getting E-mails from companies. And it is saying that my E-mail was denied due to that virus. BUT the thing is I NEVER even sent an E-mail to that company to begin with. <br /><br />I called my host by phone and they said that there is no possible way that the virus is in my E-mail/mail server. They said all the mail I receive and all the mail that I send out goes through their servers and not my computer itself and they have very high protection on them or something like that. I do use outlook express so we did change my passwords just to be safe. BUT the person from my hosting company said that someone is using a "mail bot" or something like that and what they can do is put in ANYONES E-mail address and then send out viruses and also SPAM things. So I guess that is what someone is doing. That is really ashame that people do those kinds of things. I just hope I can catch them somehow. And then also hope people will know it is not really from me by reading the headers or footers of the E-mail.<br /><br />After I got off of the phone with my host I downloaded the Mcafee and did a total virus scan on my computer and it came back clean which was a relief because I didn't know what was going on with all of this. I'm getting a lot of attached emails and undelivered emails every day, Even i got complains, that i send email with virus to someone.<br />I checked GFY board, seems that's not virus W32.Klez.H@mm<br />because i didn't have any Wink*.exe file, <br /><br />Any help would be very appreciated...<br /><br />Thank you
