Hi,

First of all, my bank sucks http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Anyway, I need to send money to a Canadian bank account and I have all info about the destination bank account but still my bank claims they can't get it done.

The guy told me that when he typed in the account number (7 digit one), the computer didn't accept it as a valid account-number.

He didn't use all other info I have about the destination account like the bank routing number (9 digits) or the swift code or anything http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/confused.gif

Can somebody from Europe that has done this before tell me what exactly is needed to compose a valid canadian bankaccount with all these numbers, so I can tell that guy at my bank that he needs to get back to school or apply for a job at McDonalds http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/wink.gif

Your bank sucks!!Try to find another bank(if I can from Serbia wire transfer money to whom I want around the world, your bank must be able to do it also)!Or you can try to send them money by Western Union(they will receive it the same day you send http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

Ofcours they can do wires, every bank can, but that moron there doesn't know how to do it if you aske me.

Shouldn't he atleast also use the routingnumber along with the bank account number ?

I didn't want to start bitching at him before I'm sure how it should be done ...

BTW thanks for westernunion, I know them but my bank should be able to handle it too.

You need:

1) SWIFT-Code of the receiving bank OR Routing Code
2) Bank Name and some bank tellers even require the address, even though it's not needed
3) Beneficiary + some need the address
4) Of course the account number

That's all. If your bank teller doesn't get it right then let him fill up the account number with 0 (zeros) until his computer accepts it, or talk to somebody else there who has a clue about what he's doing.

Most bank tellers are extraordinarily stupid. Keep that in mind http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

Thanks Coke,

I went back to the bank and now there was an other guy that managed to do it after 15 minutes LOL

I wasn't gonna leave before they found somebody that could send the f*cking money anyway, so he's lucky http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I've been pranking him a bit by saying: Is this your first day ? hehe
and when I left i said, there you go, now you learned something.

Damn incompetend dudes, they make me sick !
