What to do agains fucking ICQ losing history everytime?

Help me out here, I just seem to keep losing history from time to time (at random)... anyone know how this is to be solved?

I would suggest to clear the history sometimes. Save it to a txt file if you still need it. That solved my problems...

But saving it to a textfile is not a solution... I have over 400 people in my ICQ list who often start saying by "You know the thing you said last time (= 2 weeks ago)... that was really cool, have more suggestions?" And those kinds of things... I can't remember everything from everyone and storing my daily chat in a textfile is just too mutch of a hassle (and hard finding)...

Fucking annoying.
Sometimes it helps writing them a message and it will be restored.
But if you have absolutely no idea on who the dude is what are you going to write "Hey dude I just lost my message archives so I though I would send you a message" http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
There must be some better way I'm sure.

yeah, i also hate it alot, it happens with some members, some are just fine and some never save anything from history!

If your history is really that important to you, why don't you just take some backup?
Copy all files from the "2000a/2000b" (depends on the version you'r using) directory onto a ZIP disk or something.
It also keeps your contact list up-to-date if ICQ fucks up sometime.
