Thanks for that info basschick I had a sneaking feeling it wouldn't.<br /><br />Is there any way to insert text into a link in Netscape the same way you can using image tags ?

it works in my ie - why not use a mouseover for the netscape users?

doesnt work in IE 6, works in opera 6.02 build 1066, doesnt work in mozilla 0.99

Hi Beaver,<br />Everything's fine in MSIE 5.5, Opera 6.0/3.62. Doesn't work in Mozilla 0.97/0.99, Netscape 4.7,<br />also in <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="smile.gif" /> HotJava 3.0, Amaya, and Lynx <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" />

You may change status bar using onMouseOver. If you don't want to hide a link from surfers, you may add a status bar message like this: "http://yourlink.com Your text here"

It works in IE 6, I don't think many people that posted realized what you were doing. It works in all IE 5.0 and up, I don't like raw nuts, so I didn't test Nutscrape. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" />

Well fuck it, tested it it Netscape 6.2 and it worked fine. My nuts were itching anyway.
