I don't want to sound rude, but I've noticed that many people on this site have trouble typing in english and this makes me curious as to where everyone is from.
Just to be sure here, I don't really care about this fact or whether or not people can type in english well so please do not be offended.

I'm from Holland but I've been speaking English fluently since I was about 10.. Anyways, Holland is in Yurop, above Belgium and West from Germany. It's small and crowded but weed is legal and the people are laid back :)
Must see: Amsterdam, Redlight District, Coffeeshops, The Dam, The Hague, and Zandvoort if you're into the beach...
Mustn't see: Small towns (they're boooring), highways (Traffic jams all the time) and anything that's East of Holland (I live there, and it's not pretty ;))

every dutch person i've ever met has spoken excellent english, the same goes for scandinavian people i've met.

im in australia. all 4 of my grandparents were dutch and they moved to australia as children/ adolescents / young adults
i want to learn dutch, seems like its a good language to learn as many... internet areas are dominated by dutch people and sites purely in dutch are happening more and more
plus im interested in my.. heritage? if i guess u could clal it that?

oh, btw does it come from the.. eastern side or something?
because i seem to recall my mother commenting on... pisserwierchen? pronounced 'pisser wier chen', meaning something like raining heavily, and it was only used on the eastern side...
